What if the next version of your creative career doesn’t look like anything you’ve planned for?

That’s not a problem.
Thats the spiral.

You’re a creative director. Or an art director, a designer, an illustrator, a producer, a multi-hyphenate magical weirdo. And, you’re good at this. You've earned the rooms you're in. And something else is asking for your attention.

You know what good work looks like. You’ve made a lot of it. And something still feels unfinished… not the work, but the question underneath it.

Not a crisis. Not burnout. A pull. Toward the work that was yours before anyone told you what your work should be.

That's where we start.

Hi, I’m Erica

I did the art school thing, the corporate creative thing, and spent years figuring out they weren’t opposites. The spiral kept expanding… into more work, more questions, more versions of what I could be.

That’s what I'm here to help you do.

Project Details

You’re a creative director who's good at the job and hungry for something the job isn't giving you

You’re an art director who knows the next thing exists and hasn’t jumped yet

You’re a designer wondering if the grid you’ve been working in is even the right one

You’re between versions of yourself and you’re ready to find out what’s next

You’re successful, you’re resourced, you’re capable— and something is still asking for your attention

You’re an artist with a project that keeps not getting made

Understanding user challenges

Aether, an e-commerce platform, faced high bounce rates and low conversions due to a fragmented user journey. The main goal was to uncover the pain points preventing smooth engagement and purchases.

Designing a seamless shopping flow

Through usability testing and heatmap analysis, we identified key friction areas and simplified the navigation, checkout, and product pages. The redesigned experience improved clarity and flow, creating a frictionless path from browsing to checkout.

I work with folks building practices on their own or within companies like

I love working with folks who are…

  • Smart enough to see their own patterns and stuck in them anyway

  • Doing good work that no longer feels like theirs

  • Privately questioning something they're not ready to say out loud

  • Tired of optimizing and hungry for something that actually means something

  • At the edge of a decision that keeps not getting made

They come to coaching for…

  • Figure out what they actually want — not what they've been told to want

  • Make the decision they've been circling for months

  • Stop performing a version of themselves they didn't choose

  • Find out what's on the other side of the thing they're afraid to say

  • Finally make some moves

They leave coaching with…A pivot into a new role

  • A promotion they finally asked for

  • A creative practice that's actually theirs

  • A portfolio narrative that tells the right story

  • A sharp POV on AI and where they stand

  • A creative business off the ground

  • A sabbatical planned and booked

  • Boundaries that hold

  • A clearer picture of what they actually value

I love working with folks who are…

  • Creative leaders operating at a high level and privately reaching for more

  • Doing good work and hungry for something the work isn’t giving them

  • Sitting on a project, a practice, or an idea they haven’t made room for yet

  • Tired of optimizing and ready for something that actually means something

  • At the edge of a decision that keeps not getting made

What is Tiered Pricing?

Which tier am I in?

Do you offer payment plans or trade?

Can this be expensed by work?

Why 3 months? This seems like a big commitment. What if I just want one session?

What do you need from me to get started?

A 30-minute conversation to see if we’re a fit. You share what’s alive, I share how I work, and we both get a sense of whether this is the right container for where you are.

P.S. If we’re not the right fit, I’ll tell you that too. I’m connected to other coaches, therapists, and healers, and I’m happy to make an aligned introduction.

P.P.S. As for my books: I work with a limited number of people at a time because this work requires actual attention. My waitlist is always open :)

Before we dive in, we get the big picture down. What you’re carrying, what you’re reaching for, what you want to be able to say at the end of this. Something to orient by and return to.

Nascent Spiral is a crawlspace¹ for inquiry² and chance operations³ in service of creative becoming⁴ and beginning again⁵ (and again)(…)⁶

  1. crawlspace / a habitable in-between; neither basement nor foundation; low ceilings on purpose; you don't stand up straight here; see also: threshold; a playfort

  2. inquiry / not research; not problem-solving; the practice of wanting the question as much as the answer; not knowing as method; to let it live in you awhile

  3. chance operations / the art of creative interference; a roll of the dice; play as a legitimate method; the work that happens when you stop being the only one in charge

  4. creative becoming / ongoing; non-linear; already in progress before you named it; fill in the blank: i am ____

  5. beginning again / see also: Shoshin (初心): A Zen term meaning “beginner’s mind,” emphasizing an attitude of eagerness and lack of preconceptions

  6. (and again)(...) / the return is the practice; beginning is always happening; every version a prototype; every prototype a beginning
